Android Jones "Forward Escape"

Tipper started his career in the UK rave scene during the late 90’s, and as a modest technician is understood to be one of the originators of what is now commonly known as ‘bass music’ within the electronic dance music genre. His production and performance styles are widely respected for their mastery of various forms and tempos.

Tipper will close both nights again this year, and also present an Ambient Sunrise Set on Sunday Morning on the Amp (aka Mushroom) Stage. This quite possibly will result in the largest Cuddle Puddle we have hosted yet (topping the Two and Half Thousand at The Feelmore in Denver in Oct 2016).

Shpongle is an English psychedelic music project formed in 1996 by Simon Posford and Raja Ram. The duo are considered architects of the Psybient genre, combining psychedelic trance with ambient and world music. Last year we invited Simon to come present his favorite downtempo psybient music to close our weekend at Sunrise on Sunday morning. It was very well received, so Simon asked if he could return and play on the incredible Amphitheater stage and TURN IT UP. We wondered in turn if he would bless us with his Studio Masters and perform all that beautiful music in his own special way on a studio mixing console with 32 channels at Twilight under the Spanish moss. Do not miss this special presentation.

Twilight at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park under the trees of the Amphitheater Stage is a magical time. From the first time we watched the sunlight dwindle, and the tree lights flicker on, we've known we wanted to present LTJ Bukem at that special moment in time. His jazzy atmospheric Drum and Bass is meant for those contemplative feels. Elder statesman of electronic music and a true gentleman, we feel very blessed he is excited to come share his legendary sensibilities and create one of those "i was There for that" moment's that will live long in many memories.

We Love the Cut Chemist, and he enjoys being a regular at our gatherings. At last year’s Full Moon Gathering he crushed with a very well received Hammock Session set in the afternoon, and also asked us if he could return. He's got a special performance in mind for us @ Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in May, and will present a unique set with full visual support in the evening.

“Whatever comes next you can expect the same ethic of artistic integrity” says Cut. “Hip Hop is not a specific type of music, its how its presented. I feel I’ve always proved that and will continue to do so.”

Shield is a very talented music producer and DJ from Denmark. Once a percussionist in The Royal Danish Navy Band, he also holds a Masters Degree from the Royal Danish Academy of Music playing classical percussion. This experience helps explain his command of drum programming and polyrhythms that make his own productions so unique. His track “Horror Movie” caught the attention of tastemakers such as Ivy Lab, Tipper, and Noisia (who made it one of their ‘Favorites of 2015’) leading to Ivy Lab signing him to their label 20/20, where he has since released an EP and collaborated on a single with the esteemed label heads themselves. Expect more unique sounds and styles from his studio that span the hip hop and drum and bass spectrum.

An excellent DJ and new Friend of ours, we are very excited to share his talent in person at Suwannee…

Back by popular demand? Jade Cicada had a great set with us at the Full Moon Gathering, so we've brought back him to see if he can crush it for us again. Jade is said to bless what ever it touches, serving Mankind for over 6,000 years. It is the ultimate ‘Dream Stone’ revered in ancient cultures to access the spiritual world, encourage creativity, and dream-solve. Cicadas produce an exceptionally loud song, produced by internal vibrations mostly at night. Skyler is a Berklee College of Music graduate, trained in advanced jazz theory as well as many forms of sound design. Jade Cicada’s music is a reflection of all these things, and a constant homage to those who have inspired him.

Andrew Bryant [Hullabalo0] is an upcoming jazz pianist/electronic dance music producer with ambitions in both the acoustic and electronic worlds of sound. Currently residing in the city of Reno, Nevada, he is graduating in May 2017 with a Bachelors in Jazz Piano Improvisation. Exploring all genres rom Drum & Bass to Psytrance to Minimal Techno and currently Glitch, one thing that is always required in his recipe is a Psychedelic garnish of intricate syncopated rhythms and a characteristic unpredictability.

Vinja got our attention with his submission for the DJ Mix Comp for Nocturnal 2017, finishing Runner Up to Foxtail. We thought it was too good to overlook, and is a perfect fit for a different time slot we were curating, so we invited him anyway! Vinja has been cultivating a catalog of dance floor friendly tracks since the turn of the century. Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, the producer was exposed to a thriving electronic scene and witnessed the birth of the West Coast bass revolution. Blending dubstep, drum and bass, glitch-hop, breaks, and electro, with heavy references to the golden age hip hop of the 80’s and 90’s, Vinja’s style is reminiscent of the rich musical culture of San Francisco's past and present.

Caught everyone off guard by having one of the most well received online mixes of 2017 (so far) on Soundcloud. Through The Mist is self described as a ’storytellling' of 30 minutes of Unreleased music. Born in the Sierra Nevada mountains, Charles has been heavily influenced by nature and the adventure that coincides with it. Fusing his hip hop roots with lush and experimental electronic composition, he has developed a danceable style steeped in dreaminess and psychedelia.

Austin, TX’s very own Detox Unit spent much of 2015 working long hours in his studio on music that caught our ears in 2016. We brought him to Denver for the opening set at The Feelmore for Tip Hop Night, and he left everyone wanting more, so we've asked him to join us at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park next May to see what he cooks up for us next. Another one to watch.

We are welcoming up and coming producer from the Pacific Northwest, Ovoid to our May weekend at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. Finalist in last year's Mix Competition, we were sufficiently impressed and we've invited Ovoid to present his unique downtempo stylings just before Simon Posford's LIVE Set this year.

Sortof Vague

Sortof Vague Sam hears things a bit differently to most.. he makes new music with his mixing - the hallmark of any great DJ. Winner of our first DJ Mix Comp at The Full Moon Gathering 2016, Sam keeps going from strength to strength with his performances at Suwannee and the The Feelmore in Denver. We think he can deliver a Head Nod Set for ‘The Heads’ at 420 on Saturday afternoon. Bring your Hammocks :)

Until he finishes his (incoming) Head Nod promo mix, check out the winning mix that got his started with us last year.

Runner Up in the first DJ Mix Comp for The Full Moon Gathering in 2016, this year Foxtail caught our ears with the impeccably crafted Trip Hop Mix that paid homage to his musical influences. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Felix has always been engaged in music. After learning multiple instruments he decided to dive into the world of electronic music and since then Foxtail has been incorporating his musical knowledge with his personal influences.
